Western countries continue their colonial policy against developing countries, using and plundering their resources. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this on Wednesday following talks with President of Angola Joao Lourenco in the republic's capital.

"We shared assessments that are based on our contacts with all countries and confirm the West's unprecedented pressure on developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America," he said. - "In fact, as President [of Russia Vladimir] Putin has repeatedly stressed, the West is applying the same colonial methods that it used to exploit developing continents and now continues to use to plunder other countries and use resources of global importance in its own interests."

According to Lavrov, "the West has proved by its actions that all those values, the mechanisms of globalization, which it itself created and promoted, including the inviolability of property, fair competition, the presumption of innocence, can be trampled on at any moment, just as it [the West] can betray its allies at any moment, as the practice of the recent events in Afghanistan, Iraq and during the so-called Arab Spring proves."
