Eighteen hospitals in the Gaza Strip have been forced to cease their operations due to the intense shelling by the Israeli army, according to the Palestinian enclave's hospital authority, as reported to the Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera.
"Eighteen hospitals, including eight public hospitals, have been forced to cease operations in the Gaza Strip. The situation in these hospitals is catastrophic and defies description, particularly in the northern regions of the enclave," the source informed the TV channel.
"In the northern Gaza Strip, hospitals are grappling with severe shortages of medicine, food, and fuel," he added.
