The Arab League (LAS) will address the Syrian crisis and the conflict in Sudan at an emergency meeting of foreign ministers, Sky News Arabia reported on Thursday, citing diplomatic sources.
"The League will hold two meetings on Sunday at the level of foreign ministers on Sudan and Syria," the channel quoted the source as saying. According to its information, the first extraordinary meeting will address the Syrian crisis and the return of the republic to the Arab League, the second - the ongoing conflict in Sudan.
The next Arab League summit is scheduled for May 19 in Saudi Arabia. Arab foreign ministers are expected to hold a preparatory meeting for it on May 17 in Jeddah.
