Peskov Affirms Russia's Commitment to Providing Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

07 November 2023

The delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza is currently facing challenges, but Russia will maintain contact with all parties involved to ensure the continued provision of such assistance, stated Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

He pointed out that not only Russia but also several other countries are currently offering humanitarian assistance in the conflict-affected area. "Unfortunately, at the moment, the aid can only be delivered in a very limited capacity through Egypt's territory, specifically via the Rafah checkpoint, which operates under severe restrictions. Regrettably, the necessary amount of aid cannot be transported through this route. The Russian side will maintain contact with the Palestinians, Israelis, and Egyptians to explore solutions for the delivery of essential aid," stated the Kremlin spokesperson.
