Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian are set to discuss a wide range of topics, from bilateral relations to the escalating situation in the Middle East, during their upcoming meeting in Ashgabat. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed reporters of the agenda, noting that this will be the first meeting between the two leaders.
“The focus will primarily be on Russian-Iranian bilateral relations,” Peskov said regarding the talks. “Our countries maintain close ties across various sectors. However, the situation in the Middle East will also receive attention and be part of the discussion. There will undoubtedly be a serious conversation. This is the first meeting between the presidents.”
