Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in a telephone conversation touched on topical topics of the alliance between the two countries, including cooperation in the energy sector, the Kremlin press service reported on Friday.
The two leaders discussed "topical subjects of development of Russian-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance. In particular, they touched on issues of further cooperation in the energy sector."
The last time Putin and Tokayev talked over the phone on January 3. Then they noted the high level of Russian-Kazakh relations and congratulated each other with New Year.
