Putin discussed the fight against coronavirus with Berdymukhamedov

The Kremlin press service said that Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov the joint fight against the coronavirus infection.

 

‘A telephone conversation took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov. It was highlighted that the strategic partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan was developing successfully. In this regard, some topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed with a focus on the further consolidation of mutually beneficial trade and economic ties and joint fight against the coronavirus infection’, the report says. 

 

In addition to it, the leaders touched upon preparations for the VI Caspian Summit and II Caspian Economic Forum scheduled for this year.

 

‘Vladimir Putin also expressed his deepest condolences over the recent death of Turkmen President’s father’, the report says. It was reported on 18 April that the father of the President of Turkmenistan, Myalikguly Berdymukhamedov, passed away at the age of 89.
