Putin Emphasizes Regional Cooperation as Vital Component of Russia-Uzbekistan Partnership

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a welcoming telegram to the participants and guests of the III Forum of Interregional Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, underscoring the significance of regional cooperation.

 

"Regional cooperation is a significant component of the strategic partnership and alliance between our nations. Various Russian Federation regions and Uzbekistani provinces establish cooperation agreements, engage in active delegation exchanges, and regularly organize relevant exhibitions and presentations," reads the telegram published on the Kremlin website.

 

 

The Russian President emphasized that the forum serves as an effective mechanism for dialogue involving heads of regional and municipal authorities. "The emphasis is placed on various aspects of interaction in the fields of industry, trade, transport, logistics, tourism, and youth policy," he added.

 

Putin expressed confidence that the forum will be productive and that the ideas proposed during it will contribute to further enhancing Russian-Uzbek cooperation.

 

The III Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan is being held in Kazan on October 4. The forum is organized in preparation for the visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia.
