During his visit to the complex, the President noted that the modern generation of Russian soldiers and officers remains faithful to their traditions and performs their tasks with dignity.

"For us, the citizens of Russia, the memory of the Great Patriotic War, of all those who fought and perished, and brought Victory closer with every effort, is absolutely sacred," RIA Novosti quotes Putin as saying.

The Road of memory gallery is a historical multimedia complex built around the main cathedral of the Armed forces. The Museum is located on the landmark line where the Red Army troops held the defense of Moscow during the Great Patriotic war. The length of the gallery is 1,418 meters, according to the number of days of war.

The main element of this complex is the "River of time" photo gallery featuring information about front-line soldiers, partisans, residents of besieged Leningrad, home front workers.
