Putin Meets with UAE President at the Kremlin

21 October

Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed his counterpart from the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the Kremlin. The two leaders began their official talks with a handshake.

Sheikh Mohammed arrived in Moscow a day before the start of his official visit. The night before, Putin hosted an informal dinner with the UAE president at his residence in Novo-Ogaryovo, where they discussed the ongoing Middle East crisis and the conflict in Ukraine.

“Let me once again warmly welcome all of you to Moscow, to the Kremlin,” Putin said, recalling their prior meeting in Novo-Ogaryovo.

As announced by the Kremlin, the official talks will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation, as well as addressing the situations in the Middle East and North Africa.
