Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud had a telephone conversation, The Kremlin press service reported.
"In connection with the June 24 events in Russia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud expressed support for the measures taken by the Russian leadership to protect the constitutional order, life and security of citizens," the statement said.
Putin and the Saudi crown prince discussed bilateral cooperation. "The conversation also addressed some issues of further developing mutually beneficial Russia-Saudi cooperation," the report said.
It is also noted that during the conversation the parties "agreed to continue contacts."
In addition, according to the press service of the Russian leader, Putin congratulated "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the entire Saudi people on Eid al-Adha."
