Putin to meet with Lavrov and Shoigu on February 14

14 February 2022

Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold separate meetings with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on Monday, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"Today [Putin] will meet with Foreign Minister [Sergey] Lavrov and Defense Minister [Sergei] Shoigu. We will show the meetings, they will be available to you," the Kremlin spokesman said.

Peskov did not speculate whether Russia should expect to send its response to Western partners' proposals for security guarantees soon after Putin's meetings with Shoigu and Lavrov. "Let's wait for the meeting and then it will be clear what they are about. Let's not get ahead of ourselves," he said.

Otherwise, the president has non-public events scheduled for Monday and is working in the Kremlin.

The press secretary also reminded that on Tuesday, February, 15, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will be in Moscow on a working visit. He will have a conversation with Putin and a working breakfast, after which the two presidents will hold a joint press conference.
