Russia and Vietnam Advocate for the Establishment of an Independent Palestine

20 June

Moscow and Hanoi are convinced that the Middle East crisis should be resolved through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. This was stated in a joint declaration by Russia and Vietnam on further deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership.

"The parties are united in their desire to strengthen peace and stability in the Middle East, oppose interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region, and express their commitment to a comprehensive, just, and long-term resolution of the Palestinian issue based on well-known international legal principles. The key element of this is the two-state solution, which envisions the creation of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, coexisting in peace and security with Israel," the document states.
