Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin has conveyed Russia's desire for a more explicit rejection of anti-Russian resolutions by the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) at the United Nations during a session of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS member states.
"Of course, we would like our colleagues to more clearly express their rejection of such initiatives, which are followed by a trail of subsequent actions in terms of vilification and obstacles to the development not only of our country but also of our useful and mutually beneficial cooperation [with the CIS countries]," stated the deputy minister.
Pankin emphasized that Russia is prepared to stand against politically motivated documents targeting other CIS countries at the UN.
