Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov held talks with Yemeni Ambassador to Moscow Ahmed Salem al-Wahishi to address the escalating situation in the Red Sea waters during the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The Russian Foreign Ministry highlighted the significance of the discussions in a released statement.
"The development of the situation in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, as well as the aggravation of the situation in the waters of the Red Sea in this regard, received special attention," the ministry's statement noted.
In addition to the Red Sea concerns, the officials exchanged perspectives on resolving the military-political crisis in Yemen. The conversation underscored the importance of enhanced international support for initiatives aiming to establish a sustainable, comprehensive intra-Yemeni national dialogue under the UN's auspices, as reported by Smolenskaya Square.
