Russian Federation Hopes for Participation of Islamic World Partners in BRICS Parliamentary Forum

Moscow hopes for active participation of partners from the Islamic world in the tenth parliamentary forum of the BRICS countries, which will be held in July in St. Petersburg. This was stated by the head of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Grigory Karasin, at the plenary session of the forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum."

 

"We hope that the Russian presidency will allow us to expand ties between BRICS and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, including between the parliaments of our states. We hope for the active participation of our partners in the upcoming tenth BRICS Parliamentary Forum in St. Petersburg in July," Karasin said, addressing the forum participants in Kazan.

 

"I am confident that the forum participants will jointly contribute to the development of interaction between young diplomats of Russia and Muslim states and, consequently, to the strengthening of ties between our countries," Karasin emphasized.
