The Russian Foreign Ministry has issued a recommendation for Russians to avoid traveling to the Middle East, particularly to Israel, Lebanon, and the Palestinian territories. This advice was conveyed by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"We strongly advise Russian citizens to refrain from traveling to the region, especially to Israel, Lebanon, and the Palestinian territories, unless absolutely necessary," Zakharova stated.
She also noted that the security situation in Jordan appears stable, with the likelihood of hostilities spilling over from the Gaza Strip into Jordanian territory seeming unlikely at the moment.
"We urge Russian citizens to heed the messages and practical advice provided on the news feeds of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the official websites of Russian foreign institutions in the mentioned countries, the consular department, and the Department of Situation and Crisis Center (DSCC) of the Russian Foreign Ministry," Zakharova emphasized. She specifically highlighted the importance of the updated resource, the mobile application "Assistant Abroad," for staying informed.
