Russian helicopters conduct air patrols in the area of the Turkish Operation Peace Spring in the province of Hasakeh in Syria and make sure that members of illegal groups do not gather with each other, the commander of the Mi-35 helicopter crew told RIA Novosti.

"The purpose of the route is to track so that individual pickups, cars of illegal formations are not gathered. So that there is order on the M4 highway, on the Syrian-Turkish border," he said, in particular.

The main task of patrolling is performed by the military transport Mi-8, which is equipped with five firing points. Each of the five fighters is responsible for their own visibility zone. They are covered by a combat Mi-35.

Patrolling is carried out at an altitude of 50 meters, so as not to meet with artificial and natural obstacles. In total, the flight lasts two hours, after which other helicopters take to the sky.
