The Russian side is working on agreements on visa-free regime for Russians with Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and several other countries. This was announced in an interview with TASS by State Secretary - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov.
"Currently, work is underway to prepare draft visa-free agreements with Mexico and Malaysia, as well as with some island states of the Caribbean (Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Barbados, the Republic of Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia). Arrangements are also under consideration with Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Zambia. In addition, the issue of increasing the period of visa-free stay of citizens from 14 to 30 days is being discussed with the SAR (Special Administrative Region) of Hong Kong", said the deputy minister.
Ivanov reminded that at the moment, citizens of more than 60 foreign countries may enter the territory of Russia without visas using their regular passports.
