Russia is shocked by the attack on Azerbaijan's embassy in Tehran, which resulted in the death of a security officer, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"[We are] shocked by yet another attack on the Azerbaijani embassy during which a security officer was killed," she wrote on her Telegram channel on Friday.
The diplomat also expressed condolences and support for her Azerbaijani colleagues.
The armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy was committed on Friday in Tehran. The head of security was killed in the incident and two of his colleagues were wounded.
