The Russian military conducted patrols along a route of more than 300 kilometers in remote areas of the Syrian Trans-Euphrates region, Sergey Dmitriev, a representative of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties, told reporters.

"The military police units of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation conducted another patrol. During the patrol, a convoy of vehicles under the cover of Mi-8AMTSH and Mi-35 helicopters covered a route with a total length of more than 300 kilometers, " Dmitriev said.

He noted that the patrol was carried out "in order to control the situation along the state border of the Syrian Arab Republic, in remote areas of the Trans-Euphrates, as well as to maintain a peaceful situation in the regions controlled by government forces."

According to the pilot of the Mi-8 helicopter, Kirill Shelukho, his car provides support at an altitude of about 100 meters and observes the column from a distance of 600-800 meters. If to go lower, the column will not be visible even at a closer distance. Mi-35 inspects the territory at a distance of 5-10 kilometers, reports to the leading Mi-8, and its crew transmits information to the ground column.

"The very tactics of escorting the column-the Mi-8 helicopter performs the main thing... patrolling, and the Mi-35 helicopter goes to the distance of 5-10 kilometers and examines the borders - whether someone is blocking the way in populated areas, whether there are no blocks from the enemy sides," Shelukho said.

As Dmitriev noted, in addition to the main tasks of patrolling, the military also held a humanitarian action in the village of Deirun-Agha.

"The village administration was given 440 food packages with a total weight of about 2,200 kilograms to give to low-income families," Dmitriev said.
