SCO Observers Visit Three Polling Stations in Moscow

Observers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have visited three polling stations in Moscow, highlighting the active citizenship of Russians. This was reported by SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming at the international conference "Electoral Sovereignty and International Standards," held at the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Russian Federation.

 

"Today from early morning, my colleagues and I have already started our work on observation of polling stations and have already managed to see three polling stations in Moscow," - Zhang Ming said. - "In the course of our observation work, we see a very active civic position of Russian citizens. All voters are very actively participating in the voting."

 

In addition, the head of the SCO observer mission thanked the Russian Central Election Commission for the invitation and for organizing this event, which he described as "a useful platform for an open exchange of views on ensuring the democratic process."

 

He also wished a successful presidential election in Russia and further success to the CEC.
