The all-Russian organization of veterans "Fighting brotherhood" with the assistance of the Center for reconciliation of warring parties handed over humanitarian and medical aid to children in Syria, who also received as a gift jars with space food developed in the Moscow laboratory, the press service of the organization reported.

"Children in Damascus, Quneitra, and Latakia received food and school supplies. Medicines from Russia were transferred to medical institutions in Damascus, Aleppo, and Qamishli. Of particular interest to Syrian children was a gift from the homeland of the first cosmonaut-jars with space food developed by the Moscow laboratory of space nutrition, which sent humanitarian cargo to Syria with the help of Russian veterans, "the press service of the "Fighting brotherhood" told RIA Novosti.

First Deputy Chairman of the "Fighting brotherhood" Dmitry Sablin told RIA Novosti that the veteran organization "is always ready to assist those who want to help people in hot spots, where it is dangerous."

"This is how we work in the Donbas, in Syria, and how our volunteers worked in the coronavirus pandemic. We have many kind people who are ready to help the children of war. This time, together with our help, we also brought backpacks with school supplies from the Church of the Renewal of the Temple of the Resurrection of Christ in Uspensky Vrazhek, which were received by students of the Sunday school at the Church in Al-Zabadani, which is being restored by Russia," Sablin said.

According to him, helping children in need and suffering from war is "simple human sympathy and a contribution to a good attitude towards Russia tomorrow."

"Our military from the Center for reconciliation of the warring parties, who help the people of Syria, sometimes risking their lives, are also working for this," he said.
