The Syrian foreign ministry issued a statement on Tuesday, describing the actions of the US and its allies who continue to supply weapons to Ukraine as irresponsible and immoral.
"The ongoing supply of weapons by the US administration and some Western allies to the Kiev regime, aimed at increasing casualties and destruction, is an immoral act that exposes the hypocrisy of their policy and highlights the irresponsibility of the US administration and its Western allies," the statement, quoted by the Syrian state news agency SANA, emphasized.
According to the agency, the US's plans to provide Ukraine with cluster munitions could lead to a catastrophic escalation of the situation.
"The dangerous intentions of the US to supply the Kiev regime with cluster munitions, in violation of international agreements and UN warnings, prolong the war of aggression launched by the Western coalition against the Russian Federation. Such actions threaten a catastrophic escalation that impacts the future of humanity," the statement added.
Syria called on all nations to take action and restrain the dangerous policies pursued by the US administration.
"Syria urges all countries in the international community to take measures to restrain the reckless policies of the US administration, which pose a grave threat to security and peace in all corners of the world," the Syrian agency emphasized.
