Syrian Military Attaché in Russia Calls for Expelling the West from Syria and Russian Borders

03 May

Brigadier General Abdul Hamid Dayyub, the military attaché of the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) in the Russian Federation, urged for the expulsion of Western countries from Syria and from the borders of Russia, citing their hindrance to the peaceful livelihoods of both nations. He made these remarks to reporters following his visit to an exhibition displaying captured Western military equipment on Poklonnaya Gora.

"It's heartening to witness Russians dismantling Western equipment. The West's disruptive interference in our lives must cease, and we should take decisive action to neutralize their equipment. We must push them out of our territories, even from the borders of Russia, whether through expulsion or destruction," he emphasized.

The exhibition, which military attachés from various countries accredited in Russia attended, showcased captured military hardware of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during special operations. Among the displayed equipment were 32 units, including Leopard 2 and Abrams tanks.

About the exhibition

On May 1, the Russian Defense Ministry inaugurated an exhibition of trophy equipment outside the Victory Museum. Visitors have the opportunity to view military hardware from 12 countries, including the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, Turkey, Sweden, and Ukraine. Additionally, the exhibition features samples of small arms, documents, maps, ideological literature, equipment belonging to Ukrainian soldiers, and drones. Information stands provide visitors with details regarding the manufacturers of Western countries, as well as the tactical and technical specifications, and the circumstances surrounding the acquisition of the equipment by Russian servicemen.

The exhibition will remain open for a month, welcoming visitors from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
