Russian humanitarian cargo has been sent to the Syrian province of Hasakeh for the first time. According to Colonel Maxim Gerasimov, Deputy chief of the logistics staff of the Russian Armed Forces group in the SAR, more than 170 tons of cargo will be brought there by several dozen vehicles.

"Today, the port of Tartus is loading 170 tons of humanitarian cargo on road transport with subsequent delivery to three departments of the Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in the Euphrates zone. The route of the automobile column is more than one and a half thousand kilometers in one direction, " the Colonel said, in particular.

The convoy of trucks, according to Gerasimov, will carry the cargo to three localities, where humanitarian aid will be transferred to the local administration through representatives of the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties, and it, in turn, will distribute it among local residents.

A military police unit and army aviation will guard the humanitarian convoy along the entire route. The areas where the trucks will move will first be searched using drones.
