Iran and Saudi Arabia have underscored the importance of joint efforts to stop Israel's military operation in the Gaza Strip. This was highlighted during a phone conversation between Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Лani and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
“Addressing the deplorable situation currently unfolding in Rafah and the genocide in Palestine, we emphasized the need for joint effective measures to prevent the continuation of this genocide,” the Iranian diplomat wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“In a telephone conversation with Faisal bin Farhan, I expressed my gratitude for the participation of high-ranking officials from Saudi Arabia in the farewell ceremony for the martyred president [of Iran Ebrahim Raisi] and foreign minister [Hosein Amir Abdollahian],” added Kani.
On May 22, Saudi Arabia's foreign minister led a delegation to Tehran to attend a farewell ceremony for Raisi, Abdollahian, and their companions who were killed in a helicopter crash.
