The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi thanked Putin for delivering coronavirus test systems to the UAE

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed al Nahyan, during a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated by the Emirati side, thanked him for delivering a batch of Russian test systems for detecting coronavirus to the UAE. Both sides expressed their intention to continue cooperation in the development and production of a vaccine against the coronavirus infection, the Kremlin press service reported.


"Both sides highly appreciate the cooperation between Russia and the UAE in the fight against the coronavirus infection. Mr. al Nahyan thanked the Russian President for delivering a large batch of Russian test systems to the UAE. There was a mutual desire to continue cooperation, including in the development and production of the vaccine," the message reads.


They discussed current aspects of further development of the Russian-Emirati strategic partnership, including the implementation of agreements following the state visit of the Russian President to the UAE in October 2019.


Putin and Mohammad al Nahyan exchanged views on the situation in Libya and noted "the importance of resuming the inter-Libyan dialogue and consolidating international efforts for a political and diplomatic settlement of the Libyan crisis," the report said. The parties agreed to continue contacts at various levels, the Kremlin press service concluded.
