UN Security Council approves extension of cross-border assistance mechanism in Syria

The UN Security Council adopted a resolution on Tuesday to extend until January 10, 2023, the mechanism of cross-border assistance to Syria, reports TASS reporter from the site. Twelve Security Council members voted in support of the document, with Britain, the United States and France abstaining.

 

 

The resolution is based on the Russian draft and provides for a six-month extension of the cross-border assistance mechanism with a possible six-month extension by a separate resolution.
