Hamas will steadfastly maintain its rule in the Gaza Strip and has no intention of accepting a puppet government aligned with the interests of the United States and Israel. This resolute stance was conveyed in a statement by Osama Hamdan, a member of the politburo of the Palestinian group, as reported by The Times of Israel.
"For those who believe that Hamas will vanish, let me make it clear that Hamas will remain deeply entrenched in the hearts and minds of our people. No force on Earth can obliterate or sideline our cause. Our people will not permit the United States to impose any administration that caters to their interests and those of the occupiers. Our people will reject any notion of a new Vichy government," he emphasized, drawing a historical parallel with the occupation of France by Nazi Germany.
