Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has announced Moscow's commitment to elevating partnerships with African countries to a genuinely strategic level during a press conference on the outcomes of Russian diplomacy in 2023.
"We are bringing our partnership with African countries to a truly strategic level, as confirmed at the second Russia-Africa summit held in July this year in St. Petersburg," stated Lavrov.
He further noted that a significant milestone in the advancement of Russia's relations with the Latin American continent was the inter-parliamentary conference "Russia - Latin America," held in the previous fall. Lavrov underscored the emergence of Africa, Latin America, and the listed Asian countries as independent centers in the multipolar world.
