Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold talks with Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister - Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi in Moscow on April 22, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a briefing on Wednesday.
"On April 22, the head of the Russian foreign ministry will hold talks with the deputy prime minister and foreign minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who will be in Moscow on a working visit," she said.
"The foreign ministers will discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as consider the prospects for expanding the contractual and legal framework of our strategic partnership and alliance," the diplomat added.
In addition, the parties plan to pay special attention to cooperation within the framework of integration mechanisms: the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the CIS and the Caspian Five, the summit of which is scheduled for 2022 in Turkmenistan, recalled Zakharova.
The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman noted that the ministers will compare their assessments of "existing risks to regional and global security and exchange opinions on current international problems, including the situation around Ukraine. "In the context of the approaching fall 2022 anniversary, namely the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan, a plan of celebrations will be signed. The heads of foreign ministries of the two countries will also visit an exhibition of archival materials on this significant event, prepared by the Historical and Documentary Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry," the diplomat said.
