Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet in Moscow on April 4 with a delegation of the Arab League (LAS) contact group on Ukraine, the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement.
"The delegation will include the foreign ministers of Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Sudan and the LAS secretary-general," the foreign ministry said.
The ministry also reported that Lavrov will hold bilateral talks with members of the delegation. The diplomatic mission [delegation] will include the foreign ministers of Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Sudan, and the secretary-general of the LAS.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that in response to an appeal by the leaders of the Donbass republics, he decided to conduct a special military operation in Ukraine. He stressed that Moscow's plans do not include occupation of Ukrainian territories; the goal is the demilitarization and denazification of the country.
