According to the source, the agreement allows foreign passport holders and seriously wounded individuals to pass through the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip. However, a specific timeframe for opening the crossing has not been established, as clarified by the source.
The agreement does not address the broader negotiation issues, such as the release of hostages held by Hamas and the implementation of a humanitarian ceasefire to alleviate the humanitarian situation in the enclave.
Earlier, Hamas released lists of individuals eligible to leave the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing, starting at 08:00 Moscow time on Wednesday. The lists comprise at least 430 people, including citizens of Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, and Palestinians with dual citizenship. The agreement also allows employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross and non-governmental organizations to exit the enclave. Subsequently, Al-Qahera al-Ihbariya reported that dozens of ambulances were entering the Gaza Strip from Egyptian territory through the Rafah crossing to evacuate the first group of wounded and critically ill Palestinians from the Strip to Egyptian territory.
