Mishustin addressed the heads of Religious Boards of Muslims on Eid al-Adha

The Muslim community carries out active educational and charitable activities, according to the address of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin to the heads of Religious Boards of Muslims of Russia on Eid al-Adha. The telegram was published on Friday on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.


"The Ummah of Russia has always played an important role in the public life of the country. And today, the Muslim community is actively engaged in charitable and educational activities. It does a lot to counter extremist ideology and contributes to the strengthening of peace and harmony in our country," the telegram reads.

 

Mishustin also noted that Russia has historically developed as a multi-ethnic and multi-religious state, the key to the development of which has always been mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation between representatives of different peoples and faiths. "And the huge creative work that you are doing deserves the highest praise," the message reads.
