Russian President Vladimir Putin will make an official state visit to Azerbaijan on August 18-19, as announced by the Kremlin's press service.
During the visit, discussions will focus on further developing the strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as addressing current international and regional issues.
The visit is expected to culminate in the signing of a joint statement and several other agreements.
Putin's last visit to Azerbaijan took place in September 2018. Since then, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has extended an invitation for Putin to visit again at a convenient time.
