Putin: Turkey Presents New Proposals to Russia at BRICS Summit

25 October

During the recent BRICS summit in Kazan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented new proposals to Russia regarding interactions with Kiev. These proposals focused on issues related to navigation in the Black Sea, as well as “a few other matters,” Russian President Vladimir Putin shared in an interview with Olga Skabeeva for Russia-1’s "60 Minutes."

“Mr. Erdogan, whom I met just yesterday, once again conveyed these proposals [from the Ukrainian side] about continued contacts concerning navigation in the Black Sea and some other issues,” Putin stated.

Putin refrained from disclosing specifics, explaining that he had yet to fully review the proposals (the interview was recorded on the night of October 25). He also noted that these were “delicate matters,” suggesting a degree of confidentiality.
