Russia is expecting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to visit Moscow in the near future, according to Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Ministry.
Bogdanov confirmed the anticipated visit, stating, "Soon. In the near future," when asked about the timing.
He emphasized the significance of the visit, noting that it would involve important discussions and collaborative efforts to develop stable approaches for achieving peace and security in the Middle East, in line with international community decisions.
The deputy foreign minister highlighted the importance of maintaining high-level dialogue for continuing cooperation across various sectors, including politics, economics, and education.
It has been reported that President Abbas may officially visit Russia in August. His previous visit to Russia took place in November 2021.
