Russia condemned Turkey's refusal to recognize elections in Crimea

21 September 2021

Moscow will draw conclusions after the Turkish foreign ministry's statements about the non-recognition of the elections in Crimea, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

Earlier, Ankara stressed that the past State Duma elections on the peninsula have no legal force for Turkey, as the country does not recognize the region's annexation to Russia.

"We never ignore such statements. If they are not tired of hearing appropriate reprimands  and reminders from Moscow, then they are patient. But this leads to nothing, except that we draw the appropriate conclusions, which clearly do not go in favor of the development of bilateral relations," Zakharova said on the air of "Solovyov Live."
