An IL-76 aircraft from the Russian Emergencies Ministry, carrying 27 tons of humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip's population, has landed at El-Arish Airport in Egypt, a TASS correspondent reports.
The plane, departing from Zhukovsky, is preparing for unloading at El-Arish, the nearest Egyptian airport to the Palestinian border. Once unloaded, the humanitarian assistance will be transferred to the Egyptian Red Crescent organization for further delivery to the Gaza Strip.
This mission is conducted in accordance with the directive of the Russian President and on behalf of the Russian government.
