The US should lift the illegal sanctions against the oil sector of Iran, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said, noting that Moscow did not yet see movement to this point.
"The US should lift its illegal sanctions that hinder the normal functioning of the oil sector of Iran and the energy sector in general. We don't see any signs that Washington is ready to move in this direction yet," he told journalists on Wednesday.
Moscow hopes for normalization of the situation in Iran's oil sector, the diplomat added.
"Let's hope that next year normalization, at least relative, will take place in this sector as well," Ryabkov stressed.
