Shoigu Visits UAE for High-Level Discussions

Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu has arrived in the United Arab Emirates for a working visit, where he plans to meet with top UAE leaders, including President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This update was confirmed by Russia’s Security Council press office.

 

“Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Sergei Shoigu is in the United Arab Emirates on an official visit. Over the next two days in Abu Dhabi, he is scheduled for discussions with senior UAE leaders, with an anticipated meeting with the country’s president,” the statement outlined.

 

Shoigu’s agenda includes addressing key issues in international security and exploring opportunities for further political, trade, economic, and military-technical cooperation. Also on the table are discussions aimed at enhancing collaboration between law enforcement and intelligence agencies in Russia and the UAE. According to Shoigu, relations between Russia and the UAE are rooted in mutual trust and partnership, holding strategic significance for both countries.
