1.5 thousand enterprises with EEU capital appear in Uzbekistan in two years

Uzbekistan is dynamically developing economic cooperation with the EEU countries in various spheres, and over the past two years more than 1.5 thousand enterprises with the capital of the association states were created in the republic. This was stated by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in an expanded format.


According to him, Uzbekistan as an observer is working steadily to expand trade relations and create new areas of economic growth with the EEU countries.


"Only in the first four months of this year, foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan with the EEU countries increased by 18% and totaled about $6 billion. At the expense of investments for the last two years, more than 1.5 thousand enterprises with capital of the EEU countries were established in Uzbekistan," Aripov said.


In addition, Tashkent continues to cooperate with the Eurasian Economic Commission for completing a three-year plan of joint activities this year. Within the framework of this cooperation, he continued, more than 200 meetings and consultations aimed at sharing experience in regulating the sphere of economy and eliminating obstacles in developing trade and attracting investment have been held.
