117 Russians Evacuated from Gaza Safely Arrive in Moscow

A group of Russian citizens, who were evacuated from the Gaza Strip the day before, has safely arrived in Russia, as reported by a correspondent from TASS.

 

The evacuation was conducted by the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Il-76 airplane, which flew on a special route from Cairo and landed at Moscow's Domodedovo airport. The flight carried 117 Russians who were evacuated through the Rafah checkpoint, and they were accompanied by medical personnel and psychologists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

 

The Ministry of Emergency Situations press service stated that upon arrival, some of the evacuees went to join their relatives, while others are currently staying in temporary accommodation centers in Volokolamsk and Klin. In these centers, they are being provided with hot meals, water, and warm clothing, with psychologists from the department offering support and assistance.

 

Since November 12, a total of 525 people have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip through five special flights to the Russian Federation. According to Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, over 1,000 people have expressed a desire for evacuation. The Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that the number of Russians seeking evacuation from the Gaza Strip continues to rise, and they have committed to bringing each of them safely back home.
