Since October 7, 2023, at least 210 media professionals have been killed in the Gaza Strip, according to a statement from the enclave’s authorities shared via Telegram.
The press office recalled that in early April, one journalist was killed and nine others were injured when Israeli forces shelled a tent sheltering members of the media in the southern city of Khan Younis.
Gazan authorities called on the international community and journalism organizations to condemn the actions of the Israeli military and stressed the need to hold Israel accountable for attacks on journalists.
