The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) notes interest in the Russian coronavirus vaccine from 40 countries around the world, its delivery can begin in November this year, said the head of the RDIF Kirill Dmitriev.

Participants of the online briefing on Friday were asked to comment on the production and supply of Russian vaccines to other countries, in particular, to Brazil, Egypt, India, Uzbekistan, Mexico, Argentina, Vietnam, Israel and others.

"Based on the amazing work carried out by the Gamalei Institute, we see interest not even from 20-30, but from 40 countries, including the purchase of this vaccine, including all the countries that you have just listed," Dmitriev replied.

"Now the big focus is on the fact that production facilities in Russia will initially serve only the Russian market," the head of the Fund said.

"We are focused on being able to deliver the vaccine to foreign markets produced outside of Russia in November this year, thanks to the remarkable technology developed by the Gamalei Institute," Dmitriev added.
