A batch of humanitarian aid worth $9 million is delivered to Kyrgyzstan from Russia

A shipment of humanitarian aid in the form of $9 million worth of flour was delivered from Russia to Kyrgyzstan on Friday, the Russian embassy in Bishkek told TASS.


"The cargo transfer ceremony took place today with the participation of Russian Ambassador to the republic Nikolay Udovichenko and Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Kudaibergen Bazarbaev," a representative of the embassy said.


According to the diplomatic mission, Russian food aid will be distributed among the most socially vulnerable people of Kyrgyzstan.


The humanitarian aid is provided by the Russian side within the framework of "voluntary targeted contribution of the Russian Federation in the amount of $9 million to the fund of the UN World Food Program for 2020-2021 years.
