Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Russia, Maadhad Hareb Al Khaili. An initiative to discuss Russian-Emirate relations was made by a diplomat from the UAE.
As noted on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the agenda of the meeting was topical issues of further strengthening cooperation between Russia and the United Arab Emirates, including a schedule of bilateral meetings of representatives of both sides and joint events.
In addition, the current situation in the Middle East and North Africa was not left without consideration. Special attention was paid to the situation in Yemen and the Persian Gulf.
