Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has officially assumed office for the third time after taking the constitutional oath before the members of the House of Representatives (parliament). The ceremony, held in Egypt's new administrative capital, was broadcast by the presidential office.
"I solemnly swear by Almighty God that in my capacity as President, I will uphold the republican system in Egypt, abide by the constitution and all other laws of the land, prioritize the welfare of the people, and safeguard the state's sovereignty and territorial integrity," el-Sisi declared.
