Turkey appreciates its relations with Russia and looks forward to further rapprochement between the two countries, Adviser to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Deputy Chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party Cevdet Yilmaz told Lenta.ru.

Now, according to him, relations between Moscow and Ankara are "at a very good level", including in the economic sphere. Energy and tourism are also promising areas of cooperation.

"We highly appreciate our friendship   and are moving forward," the Turkish politician said.

Separately, Yilmaz noted the joint success of Russia, Turkey and Iran in resolving the situation in Syria, which, according to him, was achieved, including through personal friendship between the presidents of the two countries.

Ankara, as the politician stressed, intends to continue to develop relations with Russia, despite the possible discontent of a number of countries.
